Mary Lou Vosburg, 86, of East Smithfield, PA passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 1, 2015. She was born on May 1, 1929 in Bentley Creek, PA the daughter of the late Raymond Stevens and Mattie May Stevens. Mary Lou graduated from Smithfield High School in 1948. She worked at East Smithfield Farms and retired from Bradford County Manor as a Ward Clerk. Mary Lou and her husband Howard celebrated 57 years of marriage, prior to his passing. She was a long time member of the East Smithfield Federated Church. She was known for being a beautiful sewer, quilt maker, and knitter. Mary Lou was a member of the Merry B’s Quilt Guild. She loved to cook for her friends and family. She is predeceased by her husband Howard Vosburg and sister Blanche Stevens. Mary Lou is survived by her children Sheila and David Kingsley of East Smithfield, PA and Renee and Robert Arnold of Towanda, PA, grandchildren Marcus and Tammy Kingsley of East Smithfield, PA with whom she resided and they were her loving caretakers, Brian and Jackie Kingsley of Athens, PA, Justin and Brittney Kingsley of Bentley Creek, PA, Dalton Arnold of Towanda, PA, great-grandchildren Brittany, Kyle, Nicholas, Emma, Noah, Kamerin, Konner, and Kadence Kingsley, sister Leone Phillips of Bentley Creek, PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 1pm to 2pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, East Smithfield, PA.
