Obituary of Richard F. Stillman
Richard F. Stillman, 67, of Milan, PA passed away Thursday, December 03, 2015 at home with his family by his side.
He was born October 17, 1948 in Waverly, NY the son of the late Glenn and Ruth McIntosh Stillman.
Richard graduated Athens High School in 1966, attended Penn State College, and owned the Sunoco Gas Station in Chemung, NY from 1970 to 1974, then going to work for the Ingersoll Rand for 30 plus years as an Industrial Electrician. He was currently employed by Source for Teachers as a Para Professional for BLaST Classrooms. Richard was a former member of the Big Pond Lions Club, French Choppers Camping Club, Boy Scout Troop Leader with the Webelos, served as the President of the Ingersoll Rand Service Club, and was an Honorary Member of the Diahoga Hose Fire Company. Richard enjoyed watching NASCAR and followed Cale Yarborough, and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is predeceased by his brother Gary Stillman, Daughter Nancy Lynn Stillman and nephews Jamie Stillman and Boyd Joseph Carlyle.
Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years Linda Stillman at home; children Nancy Rohde and Tim Bennett of Towanda, PA, Neal and Angela Stillman of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren Nicholas Stillman, Justin Rohde, Shelby Stillman and Bridget Stillman; sisters Elizabeth and Richard Twigg of Navarre, FL, Gail and Tom Chilson of Towanda, PA and Sue Dodge of Sayre, PA; brother Frank and Terri Stillman of Waverly, NY.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 1pm-3pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home at 3pm with the Pastor Listen Pepper officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in Richard's memory to the Athens Booster Club, 401 West Frederick Street, Athens, PA 18810.
