Obituary of Felix J. Hyjek, Sr.

Felix J. Hyjek, Sr., 71, of Sayre, PA passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at home following an extended illness; with his fiancé Sandra by his side. Felix was born on June 30, 1944 in Rutland, VT, the son of the late Felix J. and Matilda Kantorski Hyjek. Felix was an avid fan of the NY Giants and the Boston Red Sox and also enjoyed fishing. He worked at Ted Clarks Busy market for many years and served in the United States Marines. He is predeceased by his parents, wife Marie E. Hyjek, brother Edward Hyjek and sister Irene Dydo. He is survived by his fiancé Sandra Lattimer and children Ann (Michael) Fascinella, Donna (Clay) Dudash, Felix (Gennette) Hyjek, Christopher Hyjek, James Hyjek, Jonathan Hyjek and David (Melissa) Hyjek; grandchildren Michael and Krystine Fascinella, Justin and Tyler Dudash, Sean Hyjek, Rachell (Matthew) Chase, Kylie Hyjek, Kyrstyn Hyjek, Ricky Hyjek, Cody Hyjek, Kalea (Roman) Coston, Kaiden Hyjek, Christopher Hyjek, Caleb Hyjek and Jade Hyjek; sister Marcia (Michael) Senecal of West Rutland VT, brothers Thomas Hyjek and Robert (Marie) Hyjek; sister-in-law Emily Dydo; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 1-2pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home at 2pm with Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.
