Obituary of Helen J. Kelley

Helen J. Kelley, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at home with her family by her side following an extended illness. She was born on January 4, 1932 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Andrew and Freda (Struhum) Glosenger. Helen graduated from Sayre High School in 1949. She worked as a Secretary for the Guthrie Foundation and retired from the Pennsylvania South Gas Company. Helen was a member of the Sayre Christian Church. She is predeceased her first husband Richard Snover, second husband Ralph E. Kelley, Sr., brothers William Max, George Rex, Andrew Carl, and Donald Burr Glosenger, and sisters Ruth Glosenger Lamb and Edna Ryck, stepsons David and Peter Kelley, and stepdaughter Virginia Kelley Bradt. Helen is survived by her children Catherine Snover Greeno of Sayre, PA, Constance Snover Palmore and Russ Shetley of Stafford, VA, Richard and Allie Snover of San Diego, CA, Scott Snover of Escondido, CA, and Timothy and Lisa Snover of Ft. Lee, VA, step-children Ralph Kelley, Jr. of FL, and Donald Kelley of Constantia, NY, 10 grandchildren, 21 step-grandchildren, 20 step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10am – 11am at the Sayre Christian Church, 427 North Keystone Avenue, Sayre, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the Church at 11am with the Rev. Kevin Arensman and Rev. James Donahoo co-officiating. Burial will be in Constantia Rural Cemetery following the celebration of her life.
