Isaac C. “Ike” Myers, Jr., 69, of Sayre, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at home following a brief illness with his family and his dog Chevy by his side. He was born on October 14, 1946 in Sayre, PA, the son of the late Isaac C., Sr. and Charlotte Davidson Myers. Ike worked from the Lehigh Valley Railroad and Conrail Norfolk-Southern, retiring after many dedicated years of service. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He loved NASCAR, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and his Manhattans. Ike was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan. He is predeceased by his wife Sandra Benjamin Myers, brother Francis Myers, and brother-in-law Leslie Benjamin. Isaac is survived by his daughters Sherrie Smith of Sayre, PA and Lisa Myers of Sayre, PA, grandchildren Jon Sisson of Sayre, PA, Alicia and Austin Hatch of Athens, PA, Katie, Brittany, and Bridget Reynolds of Sayre, PA, great-grandchildren Kloey Hatch, Kamden Hill, and Gauge Hatch, brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Margaret Myers of Sayre, PA and Loren and Arlene Myers of Sayre, PA, sisters and brothers-in-law Betty Bennett and Vick Wise of Sayre, PA, Carolyn and Robert Knutzen of CA and Cindy and Tony Luis of Las Vegas, NV, sister-in-law Gerry Myers, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Randy and Mary Benjamin of Waverly, NY, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cindy and Rich Moore of Southport, NY. He is also is survived by special friends Kenneth and Kandy Bailey, Bob and Candy Likins, and Mattie and Jet Horton, his constant and faithful companion, his dog Chevy, and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Family and friends may call on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 5pm – 7pm at the Jay E. Lowery Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the funeral home at 11am+ with the Rev. Anne Bey Canfield officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
