Obituary of Robert E. Tetreault
Robert E. “Bob” Tetreault, 68, of Sayre, PA passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
He was born on August 25, 1947 in Pawtucket, RI the son of the late Ephraim “Tate” and Alice (Payne) Tetreault.
Bob’s parents moved the family to the Athens area, where he attended Athens School District. Upon graduating from high school, Bob joined the Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. Prior to his discharge in 1970, he held the rank of Sgt. Upon his return from the service, he attended college and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Bob then left the Valley area once again to pursue his career and worked in Kansas, Texas, Georgia, and on the Indian Reservation. He returned home to the Valley area where he has resided for many years. Bob was friendly, funny and massively opinionated. He was well liked and loved by his family and friends and will be missed. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed reading, and watching TV and movies.
He is predeceased by his nephew Brian Harding.
Robert is survived by his daughter Kelly Tetreault Cancglin of NJ, grandsons Adam Cancglin and Chris Cancglin, brothers and sisters-in-law George and Nancy Tetreault of Owego, NY and Peter and Beth Tetreault of Ontario, Canada, sister and brother-in-law Marie and Terry Harding of Waverly, NY, nieces and their husbands Amy and Travis Noochi, Lori and Thomas Herzog, and Beth and Linc Morse, two great-nieces and three great-nephews.
At Robert’s request, there will be no calling hours or services. He would want that all those he loved to remember him by living life to the fullest as he did. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA at the convenience of the family.
