Obituary of William Wiles
William P. "Bill" Wiles, 76 of Sayre, PA passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at home.
Bill was born January 27, 2012 in Tioga, NY the son of the late Victor and Anna L. Johnson Wiles.
Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956 – 1959, he worked for Remington Rand for 15 years then went to work for the Ingersoll Rand for 25 years. Bill enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, walking his faithful companion Shadow, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving father and grandfather. Bill was a member of the Sayre VFW, Skiff Bower Post # 1536.
He is predeceased by 3 sisters, 2 brothers: Dorothy, Joann, Alice, Jim and Victor and a step-son Dale Alan Coyle.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Yolande at home, children Shawn Wiles of Beaver Dam, NY; Shane (Cindy) Wiles of Beaver Dam, NY; and Mary Ann Wiles; step-children Ann Lawler of Athens, PA; Michael (Liddy) Coyle of Sayre, PA; Steven Coyle of West Chester, OH; Bernard (Susan) Coyle of Towanda, PA; Janine (Mike) Resau of Culpeper, VA and Jeanne (James) Koch of Morgantown, PA, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Carl (Naomi) Wiles, Art (Ruth) Wiles, a sister Eleanor (Floyd) Hakes, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and Family may call on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 2 – 4PM at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 8, 2012 at 9am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel, Ridgebury, PA.
