Marian A. Robinson, 70, of Barton, NY, formerly of Athens, PA, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Riverview Manor, Owego, NY, following an extended battle with cancer with her loved ones by her side. She was born on August 23, 1942 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Howard A. and Mariann Hatch Brown. Marian was a member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, the outdoors, bird watching, animals, especially horses, and raised Pugs. Marian enjoyed sports of all kinds but her favorite teams were the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Bills. She worked at Sayre Lingerie as a Seamstress and as a Waitress at various Restaurants. She is predeceased by her husband Marshall Robinson, and two brothers Miles Brown and Robert Brown. Marian is survived by her son Randy R. Robinson of Owego, NY and daughter Hazel B. Robinson of RI, grandchildren Shelby Leonard, Megan Rogers, and Brock Leonard, Jr., 4 great-grandchildren, siblings and spouses Joan and William Allen of Athens, PA, Devona and John Woods of Rochester, NY, and Kaye and Donald Jennings of Barton, NY, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 10am – 11am at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Memorial Service will follow at the Funeral Home at 11am with the Rev. Jon Austin from the Litchfield Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
