Obituary of Delmer Price

Delmer Franklin "Del" Price, 76, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Ashton Healthcare Facility. He was born October 1, 1936 the son of the late Gordon Franklin and Leona B. Lintermoot Boyce Price. Del enjoyed sports and was involved in softball, football, basketball, track, and wrestling. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing. He attended the old #1 Jr. High School, the old Thomas A. Edison High School, and graduated from the old Lenox Ave. School, Elmira Heights, NY. Del served overseas with the 3rd Marine Division ECT and the U.S.A.R. 98th Division. He was retired from Thatcher Glass Manufactuing. He was a published Poet with over 70 poem published, wrote 4 books. Del enjoyed arts, crafts, and designing. He is predeceased by his daughter Autumn Price Townsand September 17, 1995, half-siblings June, March 2005, Gordon, January 6, 1965, and Leona Boyce October 23, 1983. Delmer is survived by his children Amber Eileen Price (William) Thorpe, Brian Kelly Price, and Linda Lee Price, over 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister Maxine Irene Price, half-sisters Pauline and Mary Etta Boyce, aunts Loretta J. Price Butler and Helena Price Nichols, nephews James S. Morich and Samuel F. Morich, and many cousins. At Delmer’s request, there will be calling hours or services.
