Alberta R. Arnold, 82, of Litchfield, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at home following an extended illness. She was born on October 3, 1930 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Claire and Mae McKinney Horton. Alberta was a member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. Alberta was a Caregiver for many elderly people in the area. She is predeceased by her husband Wallace in 2005, daughter Patricia Arnold, and brothers Richard and Harold Horton. Alberta is survived by her children Dean (Charlene) Arnold of Cooperstown, NY, Dale Arnold of Dallas, PA, Paul Arnold of Litchfield, PA, and David (Pamela) Arnold of Newark Valley, NY, grandchildren Lisa and Lori Kohanski, Wayne and Dale Arnold, Kevin and Jamie Arnold, and Matthew, Nathan, and Levi Arnold, numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 1pm – 2pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 2pm. Burial will be in South Litchfield Cemetery.
