Thomas R. Darrow, 54, of Athens, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Ashton Healthcare Facility. He was born in Sayre, PA on October 9, 1958 the son of the late Ray Oliver and Sherry Foulkrod Darrow. Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren whom he adored. He attended the Arch of the Covenant Church in Monroeton. Tom graduated from SRU High School in East Smithfield, PA and then was employed with Robert Packer Hospital for fifteen years. He loved to spend time fishing with his boys. He is predeceased by his father Ray Oliver Darrow, mother Sherry Foulkrod Taber, paternal grandparents Walter and Celia Darrow, and maternal grandparents Walter and Mildred Parrish Foulkrod. Tom is survived by his wife of 16 years Kathy at home, his children Thomas Walter (Kim) Darrow of Athens, PA, Shawn Patrick (Rose) Darrow of Ulster, PA, stepson Matthew Campbell of Athens, PA, grandchildren all whom he loved dearly Caleb, Gabriel, Kylicia, Kyle, Caleb, Kaylynn, and Halie, daughter-in-law Kim (Eric) Darrow of Waverly, NY, aunt Joyce Trout and her family of Ridgebury, PA, stepfather Keith Taber, Sr. of Ridgebury, PA, half-brother Keith Taber, Jr. of Ridgebury, PA, ex-wife Susan Geiger Blake of Waverly, NY, several aunts, uncles, cousins, two nephews, and many friends. A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held on January 5, 2013 at 1pm at the Ark of the Covenant Church, Brocktown Road, Monroeton, PA with the Rev. Paul Benjamin officiating.
