Obituary of Carol Pantle

Carol D. Pantle, 71, of Waverly, NY died early Sunday Morning, December 23, 2012 at home. Born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Harold and Grace Snyder Wheymeyer, she was a 1959 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and later in life was a 1982 graduate of Broome Community College. Until her retirement in 2005, she was a Computer Programmer for the USDA. Children held a special place in her heart as she was a foster parent for more than 20 years. Surviving are daughters Virginia Pantle of Newark Valley, NY and Tammy Pantle of Waverly, NY, sons David Pantle of Candor, NY and Ted Pantle and his wife Amy of Waverly, NY, grandson Joshua Pantle, brothers Harold and Carole, William and Carol, and August and Pat Wheymeyer, a brother-in-law Tony Jankowski, special foster son Brian Porter and his wife Danielle, as well as numerous other foster children, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Phyllis Loveland and her husband James and Valerie Jankowski. The Funeral will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 1pm in the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6902 Birch Street, Scranton, PA. A Viewing will be held from 11am to 1pm prior to the Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11am at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA.
