Obituary of Margaret Windle
Margaret L. Windle, 89 of Athens, PA passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Robert Packer Hospital.
Margaret was born September 13, 1923 in Golden Hills, PA the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Butler Browning.
Margaret was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sayre; she enjoyed sewing and knitting, making numerous item for her family and friends. Margaret also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked for the Commonwealth Telephone Company as an operator. Margaret and her husband served as foster parents for 15 years.
Margaret is predeceased by her husband Edward Windle, Jr., son Bradley Windle and a sister Winifred Randolph.
Margaret is survived by her children Robert (Bonnie) Windle of Athens, PA; Ronald (Pam) Windle of Lebanon, PA and Patricia Windle of San Antonio, TX; daughter-in-law Sue Ritz of Manheim, PA; grandchildren Melanie Windle and (Justin Kenney), Shelly Jenney, Janine (Reg) Dawson, Bridget Windle and (Tomas Kieffer), Kristy Windle, David (Kelly) Windle, Adam Domke, Aaron Domke, Robert Lucas, Nicholas Lucas and Danielle (Mike) Barton; great grandchildren Wyatt, Waylan, Devyn, Josh, Cole, Brock, Collin, Brandi, Tyler, Taylor, Emily and Mike; sisters Elaine Townsley of Laconia, NH and Ilene Rifenberg of Sayre, PA, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 11:00am to Noon at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 225 S. Main St., Athens, PA 18810, Funeral service will Follow at Noon with Rev. Roland Romig of the First Baptist Church of Sayre officiating.
Burial with be in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
