Anne C. Bailey, 89, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 02, 2013 at Ashton Healthcare Facility following a brief illness. She was born on February 11, 1923 in Kerville, TX the daughter of the late James V. and Orthella Reyes Caruso. Anne was a member of the Sayre Christian Church and worked in the Cafeteria in the Athens High School. She was an accomplished gardener and enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Anne enjoyed going out with family and friends and listening to music. She is predeceased her husband Robert L. Bailey, February 3, 2009 and many friends. Anne is survived by her children Robert and Martha Bailey of Athens, PA, and William and Rosa Bailey of Sayre, PA, grandson Colin Scott and Shannon Bailey of Athens, PA, great-grandchild Kensley Bailey of Athens, PA, step-grandchildren Kay Tana and Michael Ditchik, Crosby and Mary Ann Shabazian, and Irene Nicole and Timothy Fountain, sister-in-law Betty Bailey of Waverly, NY, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 10:30am at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
