Theresa J. Wheeler, 57, of Athens, Pa, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011. She was born on September 30, 1954 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Fred and Arlene Harris Wheeler. Theresa was a 1973 graduate of Athens Area High School and was a member of the American Legion Fort Sullivan Post #246, Athens. She is predeceased by her brother Freddie Donald Wheeler. Theresa is survived by her sisters Linda Wheeler of Milan, PA, Mary Heeman of Scranton, PA, and brother Robert "Buzz" Wheeler of Lockwood, NY, aunts Helen Wakely of East Smithfield, PA, Jean Bowman of Waverly, NY, Pearl Strange of Sayre, PA, Mary Smith of Athens, PA, and Joyce Geiger of Litchfield, PA, uncle Ira Wheeler of Elmira, NY, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 3:30pm at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA with the Rev. James Donahoo officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
