Helen E. Collins, 97, of Milan, PA passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2013 at Towanda Skilled Nursing Unit. She was born on January 26, 1916 in Athens Twp., the daughter of William and Rose Zimmerman Hoose. Helen enjoyed quilting, growing flowers, and her cats Max and Candy. She is predeceased by her husband George, daughter Barbara Collins, and son George, Jr. Helen is survived by her children Phyllis and Clyde Clark of Milan, PA, Mary Hoffman of Granville Summit, PA, Donald Collins of Williamsport, PA, and Donna Cole of Blossburg, PA, grandchildren Bonnie Johnson, Becky and Bill, Clyde, Jr. and Lisa, Brian and Laura, Brett and Wendy, Bart and Terri, Helana Hoffman, Penny Hardenstine, Terri Leigh, Tom, Garfield, T.J., George Jr., Buddy, Kimberly, Joshua, Travis, Deseriee, and Jared, numerous great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 10am – 11am at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 11am with the Rev. Anne Bey Canfield officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
