Marjorie J. "Margie" Morris, 87, of Sayre passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on June 16, 1925 in Groton, NY the daughter of the late Floyd and Ida Dutton Murray. Margie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking. She is predeceased by her son Dennis Morris in 1995, and a sister Ruth Bell. Margie is survived by her husband of 53 years Cyril "Cy" at home, children John and Joanne Curran of Corning, NY, Judy LaFritz of Bardstown, KY, and James Morris of Spokane, WA, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister Eleanor Whelan of Lewiston, NY, sisters-in-law Evelyn Jones of Towanda, PA, Alma Randall of Forty Fort, PA, Yvonne (Sam) Finley of Lake City, FL, and Joanne Fairchild of Sheshequin, PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be announced by the family at a later date. The family is being assisted by the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
