Ruth N. Bishop, 82, of Sayre passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at home. She was born on December 15, 1930 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Elmer and Edna Butts Bidlack. Ruth enjoyed collecting shoes, teddy bears, and dolls. She loved going to all the garage and yard sales in the Valley. Ruth enjoyed walking all over town, including all of Sayre, Athens, and Waverly. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur Bishop and her long-time companion Carl Cochran. Ruth is survived by her sisters Helen Tuttle of Binghamton, NY and Betty Temple of Owego, NY, several nieces and nephews, special friend Dody O’Connor of Sayre, PA, and many other friends that will miss her. A Memorial Service will be held in the spring and will be announced by the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
