Obituary of Gloria Malanoski
Gloria L. Malanoski, 51, of Sayre, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at
St. Joseph’s Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born August 8, 1960 in Scottsbluff, NE the daughter of John A. Ervin and Etta Kline.
Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the J.E. Wheelock Hose Company Auxiliary, and served as a "Firemom" to all the firefighters. She enjoyed reading, especially James Patterson novels.
She is predeceased by her father John A. Ervin, father-in-law John "Moe" Malanoski, and nephew Ian Todd Lawrence.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 31 years John at home, sons Jeramy (Kristin) Malanoski of Sayre, PA and John (Amanda) Malanoski of Athens, PA, daughter Jessica Malanoski of Sayre, PA, grandchildren Peyton, Logan, Austin, and Hudson Malanoski of Sayre, PA and Mitchell-Onyx of Sayre, PA, and she was so looking forward to the birth of her 6th grandchild, mother Etta Lawrence, siblings John and Steve Lawrence, Marlene Taylor, brothers-in-law David and Brian Malanoski, mother-in-law Mildred "Millie" Malanoski, special niece and nephew Thomas "Tom" and Nikki McCutcheon, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 4pm-7pm at the Alteri Bowen Funeral Home, 314 Desmond Street, Sayre, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 7pm with Major Lenny Wacenske officiating. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
