Elaine Doris Chilson passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Freda and Earl Rubright. Elaine held a cosmetology license, but spent most of her time enjoying being a military wife and mother. During her later years she was a member of the craft guild at St. Catherine s Church of Orange Park, where she enjoyed knitting. Elaine especially enjoyed spending time with her special companion, Muggsy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Chilson, and her parents. Elaine is survived by her loving sons, Jan (Barbara) and Jeffrey (Karen); grandchildren, Clinton, Chris, Carolin, Cynthia, Nathan, Michele and Clifford; great-grandchildren, Carly, Lauren, Kendal and Brandon; cousin, Richard Jones of Mechanicsburg, PA, and a host of other relatives and friends including Anne and John Bond, Eddie and Madeline Romero, Burnie Gross, George and Gail McCaffrey, the members of her craft guild, and her beloved dog, Muggsy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine s name to the Salvation Army, 2795 County Road 220, Middleburg, FL 32068. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233.
