Barbara J. Alexander, 77, of Sayre, PA passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Towanda Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 18, 1936 in Blossburg, PA the daughter of the late Howard and Helen Woodruff Ripley. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She opened her heart and her doors to everyone. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and collected dolls and bells. She is predeceased by her sons Raymond and Michael Naylor, sister Marie Ripley, and brother Clifford Ripley. Barbara is survived by her husband of 35 years Richard at home, children Gerry and Peggy Naylor of Dundee, NY, Richard and Tammy Naylor of Milltown, PA, and Pamela Howes of Elmira, NY, numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brothers Alfred Ripley of Tucson, AZ and David and Reymon Ripley of Elmira, NY and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 11am – 12pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 S. Main St., Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home at 12pm with the Rev. Doug Abbey officiating. Burial will be in the Sylvania Cemetery, Sylvania, PA.
