Catherine Ann Spyridakis, 48, of Athens Twp., PA passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at home. She was born on July 13, 1964 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Emanuel George and Catherine Rita Hogan Spyridakis. Cathy completed her Bachelor’s Degree in English and Film and her Master’s Degree in Adult Psychology at Elmira College. She was an English Professor on the Faculty of Phoenix University for many years. She was an avid lover of animals, loved to smile and work hard, and had many friends across the country. Catherine will be missed by her many friends, colleagues, and students but most of all by her family. Catherine is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Mary Spyridakis and Ed Barnes of Malvern, PA and many cousins. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 10am at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA with the Rev. Glen Mahaffey officiating from the Church of the Redeemer. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA. Memorial donations may be made in Catherine’s memory to: The Bridge, P.O.
