Charles A. Carter, 29, of Lowman, NY passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center following his courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 2, 1983 in San Diego, CA the son of Nelson "Chuck" and Teresa Rice Carter. Charles graduated from Waverly High School. He worked for Harding E. Brothers, Inc., Elmira, NY and Parrish Deli, Foote’s Auto, Moore’s Auto and Benchmark Audio. He enjoyed playing sports and being outside 4-wheeling. He is predeceased by his mother Teresa Carter, paternal grandmother Mildred Carter, and maternal grandfather Bill Rice. Charles is survived by his wife of 4 years Jennifer Carter at home, children Zachery Lambert and Brayden Carter and niece Teresa Carter at home, father and step-mother Nelson "Chuck" and Michelle Carter of Waverly, NY brothers Ty Carter of Waverly, NY and Justin Lantz and Lynette Ford and their children Felicia and Kaleb of Waverly, NY and special in-laws Mark and Lorraine Lambert of Millport, NY, grandmother Melvine (Toot) Rice of Jesup, GA, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 1pm – 4pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 S. Main St., Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home at 4pm with the Rev. Doug Abbey officiating.
