Michael T. McCracken, 39, of Bentley Creek, PA, formerly of Sayre, PA passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2012 suddenly at the Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on September 16, 1973 in Sayre, PA the son of Eugene and Edith McCracken Burgess. Mike enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend Nellie and his children, who were the loves of his life. He also enjoyed the great outdoors, and could often be found fishing with his longtime friend, Ed Morrison, at Sunfish Pond and Mountain Lake. One of Mike’s fondest places to work was with his close friends at Romberger’s Farm, and dreamed of one day owning his own farm. He is pre-deceased by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Griffith and his paternal grandmother Wilma Larrabee. Michael is survived by his girlfriend, Nellie Labarr, and their two children Autumn and Austin and a step-son, Danny Labarr, at home, mother Edith McCracken of Candor, NY, father Eugene Burgess of Sayre, PA, sister Loretta McCracken (Brad) Kellogg of Candor, brother Gary McCracken of Sayre, PA and half-brother Paul (Janet Alvoid) Burgess of Sayre, PA, four nephews Brandon Kellogg, James, Matthew and Lyle Burgess and one niece, Bryanna Kellogg. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 6:00pm at the J. E. Wheelock Hose Company,, 217 Frank Street, Sayre (Milltown) with Pastor Larry Burke of Emira Wesleyan Church officiating, PA. In memory of Mike, this is a come as you are event, wearing even you fishing gear or camo, if you so desire. There will be a dish to pass dinner immediately following the Memorial Service, and any donations of food for the dinner are greatly appreciated. The family is being assisted by Jay E.
