Uncle Jim always visited my great- grandmother, his mother, on Mother's Day. He continued those Mother's Day visits, even after her passing. This annual event was how I came to learn about him and his car collection. I remember being a very young girl and he allowed me to sit in one of his cars and Instead of telling me about the prizes he had won with that car, he wanted to know more about me. It wasn't until a few years later that I learned anything about him winning prizes with his cars. Uncle Jim had this great way of eagerly listening, and sharing a good laugh. I will always cherish the memories of those visits with him and the extended family.
