Gordon M. Callison, 75, of Waverly, NY, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, May 17, 2013 at home following a brief illness. He was born on January 24, 1938 in Bisbee, AZ the son of the late Robert G. and Vera Carpenter Callison. Gordon was a member of First Baptist Church, Waverly. Gordon with his wife, Sandy, lead many teens to the Lord while in charge of youth groups and spent countless hours with them camping, swimming, and taking trips. He loved to evangelize and bring God’s Word to everyone he met and he enjoyed spending time fishing. He worked at the I.R. Athens Plant along with several local machine shops. After his retirement, he became a Historical Artist in the Baltimore Area. He will be missed by all those who remember his love of life and those around him. He is predeceased by his brothers Gale and Robert Callison. Gordon is survived by his loving spouse of 51 years, Sandra at home, brother William L. Callison of Ervine, CA, and nephews David Callison and Paul Callison. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 5:30pm at the First Baptist Church, 459 Park Avenue, Waverly, NY with the Pastor Steven Reynolds officiating.
