Daniel "Dan" W. Platt, 51, of Milan, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on October 12, 1961 in Sayre, PA the son of Joseph and Margaret Forrest Platt. Dan loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed riding 4-Wheelers. Dan was employed at Leprino Foods for 26 years. He is predeceased by his mother Margaret Platt and uncle David Platt. Daniel is survived by his wife of 31 years Kim at home, children Dustin J. Platt of Milan, PA, Stephanie R. (Brandon) Miller of Milan, PA, grandchildren Aiden Daniel Miller and Mia Renee Miller, brother Michael (Ellen) Platt of Milan, PA and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 11am – 1pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 1pm with the Rev. James Donahoo officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
