Ramon Osorio, Jr., 63, of South Waverly, PA went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Strong’s Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. He was born on March 5, 1950 in Puerto Rico the son of the late Ramon, Sr. and Carmen Andino Osorio. Ramon has been a minister since a young age and achieved his Master’s Degree in Divinity. He was an avid Historian and enjoyed reading, fishing, and later in his life he enjoyed playing golf. Having been born in Puerto Rico, Ramon loved spending time by the water. He was a loving husband and a great father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Ramon was very family oriented and he remained close to his nine brothers and sisters. He is predeceased by his brother Alberto Osorio. Ramon is survived by his wife of 44 years Socorro "Suki" at home, son Ramon (Miriam) Osorio, III of Pittsburgh, PA and daughter Lidia Osorio of Harrisburg, PA, grandson Ramon (Drake) Osorio IV, brother Miguel Rivera, sisters Alma Maldonado, Barbara Roman, Maritza Carrion, Maria Cardenas, Irma Carrasquillo, Carmen Herrera, and Margarita Herrera, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 4pm-6pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 6pm with the Rev. Curtis Carter officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Hill Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.
