James W. Talada, Jr., 52 of Sayre, PA passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on January 20, 1961 in Sayre, PA the son of James, Sr. and Arlene Birney Talada. James was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time in the outdoors whether it be walking around town or working on a car. He loved helping people and was quick to respond to the needs of family and friends. His greatest accomplishment in life was his family, who he loved to spend his free time with going on vacation or just having a conversation with. He had a love for animals especially his dog Nanik who he took almost everywhere he went. He was employed with Leprino Foods for 31 years where he was currently a Foreman on the first shift. He is predeceased by his father James Talada, Sr. James is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years Sherry, children Jason Talada and Daniel Vavra of Athens, PA and Jamie and Justin Correll of Sayre, PA, grandchild Shawn Talada of Athens, PA, mother Arlene Talada of Athens, PA, siblings and in-laws Bill and Judy Talada of Waverly, NY, Evelyn Barrett of FL, Jean Driscoll of FL, Sodonia Bartlow of Athens, PA, and Donald and Cindy Talada of Sayre, PA, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 6pm - 8pm and Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 10am -11am at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 11am with the Rev. James Donahoo officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
