Paul E. Brusso, Sr., 76, of Sayre, PA passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2013 at home. He was born February 28, 1937 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Mathias G. Brusso and Frances Ames. Paul was a devoted father to all of his children and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a Veteran, serving with the U. S. Marine Corps from 1959-1963. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, and movies. Paul was a member of Epiphany Parish, Sayre and a former member of Rome Vigilante Fire Company. Paul is predeceased by his daughters Margaret Irene in 1997 and Paula Mae in 1975, and 2 great-grandchildren. Paul is survived by his children Paul E. Brusso, Jr. of Elmira, NY, Robert and Deborah Brusso of LeRoy, WV, Martha Barnes of Comberlain, MD, Corinna and Bonerges Ulloa-Ulloa of TX, and Michael Brusso of PA, 21 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brothers Matt Brusso of Lowman, NY and Steve Brusso of Owego, NY, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 6pm – 8pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 9:30am at Epiphany Parish, 304 South Elmer Ave., Sayre, PA with the Rev. Andrew Hvozdovic officiating.
