Mary Catherine "Cathy" Kelley, 57, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Bradford County Manor following an extended illness. She was born on March 30, 1956 in Johnson City, NY, the daughter of James and Catherine Mahoney Kelley. Cathy moved with her family to Sayre in 1965 and attended Epiphany School, graduating from Sayre High School in 1975. Cathy’s lifelong health problems never quelled her compassion and faith she always demonstrated to others. She gave willingly whatever she had. She is predeceased by her father James F. Kelley, her big sister Theresa Kelley Smith and her brother-in-law Tim Carney. Cathy will be missed and never forgotten by her mother Catherine Kelley, siblings Jim Kelley of Long Island, New York, Joan Kelley Carney of Bellevue, WA, Lorie Kelley (Chuck) Petrosky of Bellevue, WA, niece Syreeta Sargent (Zach) Davis of Philadelphia, PA, nephews Ryan and Ben Petrosky of Bellevue, WA, other nieces and nephews and her many cousins the McMahon’s, Flanigan’s, Mahoney’s, and Clarke’s. Friends and family may call on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 10am to 11am at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 11am with the Rev. Vincent Langan officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Waverly, NY.
