Elizabeth A. Thomas, 92, of Sayre, PA passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Born October 2, 1920, the daughter of the late Daniel and Catherine Stadnik Novak. She operated the Beauty Nook for several years and attended the Church of the Redeemer where she was the Altar Guild Coordinator. Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband George (Babe) Thomas; her parents Daniel and Catherine Novak, 7 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by one sister Catherine McCarthy, Sherman, TX; daughter Judy and John Lovell, Bowie, MD and four grandchildren: John and Patricia Lovell, Pasadena, MD, Tim and Katy Lovell, Ellicott City, MD, Terry and Marie Lovell, Ellicott City, MD and Tracy and Mike Cook, Richmond, VA; and 10 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Church of the Redeemer, 201 South Wilbur Street, Sayre, PA on at 1:00pm with Father Glenn Mahaffey officiating. Ashes will be placed in the All Saints Chapel at the Church.
