Shirley M. Bowman, 77, of Sayre, PA passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at home following an extended illness surrounded by her family. She was born on January 17, 1935 in Athens, PA the daughter of the late Ralph and Minnie Fuller Dunham. Shirley loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing Arts and Crafts. She is predeceased by her sisters Ester White and Phyllis McCutcheon. Shirley is survived by her husband of 59 years Philip at home, daughter Cathy Seck of Sayre, PA, son and daughter-in-law Philip and Jeanine Bowman of Sayre, PA, grandchildren Bobbi Jo Seck, Candi (Bryce) Arnold, and Kayla (Jeremiah) Stone, great-grandchild Bree Arnold, sisters Bernice DeSisti and JoAnn Kraus. At Shirley’s request there will be no calling hours or services. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
