Leatha Lantz Whiting, 91, of Athens, PA passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital. She was born on June 27, 1922 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Kellogg Lantz. Leatha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always willing to share her home and food with anyone in need. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, and riding motorcyles. She is predeceased by her husband Stuart Whiting, son Wayne Lantz, and grandson Joshua Fuller. Leatha is survived by her children Carson Hinds of Athens, PA, Cleo "Sue" and Gary Horton of Athens, PA, and Warren Fuller of Elmira, NY, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 1pm - 2pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Graveside Service will follow at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA at 2pm with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
