Charlene P. Greene, 76, of Athens, PA went home to be with her Lord on September 6, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 1, 1936 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Constant and Clara Felter Brewer. Charlene loved the Lord and took every opportunity to spread God’s Word, touching many lives in her journey of life. She always maintained a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She attended Christian School of the Bible, Waverly, NY, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waverly. Charlene enjoyed watching The Andy Griffith Show, Jerry Lewis, and American Pickers, had a great love for all animals especially dogs and cats, and one of her delights in life was teasing everyone. Charlene loved spending time with her family, and friends, loved going to church and remained faithful to her Lord in all circumstances. She will be always loved and missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and all those who knew and loved her. She is predeceased by her great-granddaughter Skye Bostwick, great-grandson Brock Wright, brothers Dick, Harry, and Willard Brewer, and sister Clara "Peggy" Brewer. Charlene is survived by her children Debbie and Barry Keene of Sayre, PA, Clayton and Karen Greene of Hilliard, FL, Patricia Bostwick of Elmira, NY, Darlene Greene of Waverly, NY, and Carolyne and Brian Schlosser of Athens, PA, 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, brothers Constant Brewer of Celina, TX, Irving Brewer of Waverly, NY, and Geraldine "Gerry" Olmstead of Baltimore, MD, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 2pm at the Waverly First Baptist Church, 23 Tioga Street, Waverly, NY with the Rev. George Herrick and the Rev. Linda Rogers co-officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Charlene’s memory to the: Jay E.
