Obituary of Phyllis Mosher

Phyllis D. Cronk Mosher, 70, of Barton, NY passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital. She was born on March 26, 1943 in Johnson City, NY the daughter of the late Paul Donald and June Walbridge Cronk. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a mother to all who knew her. She was a member of the Barton Methodist Church and worked in the Waverly High School District in the lunch room for many years, retiring in 1985. Phyllis was a foster mother to many children. She loved travelling with her husband, Donald to the South and vacationing at the Outer Banks. One of her great enjoyments in life was watching her husband and sons race, and she herself was a race driver. She loved all animals and especially enjoyed watching the wild life in her back field. Phyllis loved attending church dinners and Tuesday Bible Study was the highlight of her week. She was very sociable, enjoyed receiving guests in her room at ElderWood Health Care Facility and served as the President of the Residence Council. She is predeceased by her husband Donald R. Mosher and son Chad Jeremy Mosher. Phyllis is survived by her children Robert and Jill Mosher of Barton, NY, Robin McCarty of Waverly, NY, Donald Mosher and Sue Frederick of Barton, NY, Richard Mosher and Tina Towns of Berkshire, NY, and Corey and Eileen Mosher of Barton, NY, grandchildren Brad Mosher, Stacey Thomson, Bobby Mosher, Samantha McCarty, Jordan McCarty, Tara Ruggeri, David Sike, Dale Folejewski, Shane Rowe, Karlee Mosher, Hilary Mosher, Holly Rowe, Jaycee Mosher, and Jeremy Cleveland, great-grandchildren Landon Mosher, Benjamin Thomson, Madison Thomson, Savanah Glover, Sydnee McCormick, Dominic Ruggeri, and Luke Hicks, siblings and their spouses Joyce and David Miner, Juanita and Bob Bills, and Paul and Sissy Cronk, a special uncle Fred Mosher of OK, several aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 6pm-8pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Phyllis’s life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 11am with the Rev. James Donahoo officiating. Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery, Athens, PA.
