Thomas J. "Tommy" Reid, Jr., 39, of Athens, PA passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at home following an extended illness. He was born on April 18, 1974 in Oceanside, NY the son of Thomas J., Sr. and Barbara Werhner Reid. Tommy was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and NY Mets fan. He enjoyed photography, and playing Lacrosse, Ice Hockey, and Football. Tommy loved camping with his Band of Brothers, spending time with his family, especially with his daughter and son who were the center of his life. He was the family jokester and was famous for his one-liners. Tommy will be missed by all those who knew and loved him, He is predeceased by his father Thomas J. Reid, Sr. and niece Sarah Reid. Thomas is survived by his daughter Casey Mae Reid of Athens, PA, son Kelley Thomas Reid of Athens, Pa, mother Barbara Reid of St. Petersburg, FL, siblings and their spouses Edmund and Patricia Reid of Athens, PA, Michelle and Giovanni Milano of Selden, NY, Dr. Michael and Allison Reid of North Great River, NY, and Christine Reid of Sayre, PA, nieces and nephew Elizabeth, Hannah, Leah, Shayne, and Norah Reid, of Athens, PA, and Kyleigh Wortman of Sayre, PA, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, his beloved companion Lodo and his companion buddies Spike and Seamus of Athens, PA, Lili and Ruby of Selden, NY, and Oha and Maybel of North Great River, NY. Friends and family may call on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 6pm – 9pm at Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 9:30am at the Church of the Epiphany, 304 South Elmer Avenue, Sayre, PA with the Rev. Andrew Hvozdovic officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Thomas’s memory to: Citizens and Northern Bank, 428 South Main Street, Athens, PA 18810 in Casey Mae and Kelley Thomas Reid’s names for the future education of his children.
