For 25 years Beulah was an employee of Sayre Lingerie, after which she worked as a technical specialist for E.I. Dupont in Towanda for 12 years, retiring in 1985. Throughout her life Beulah was very accomplished with all varieties of needlework and created many beautiful pieces, most of which she enjoyed giving away to family and friends. Beulah also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, bingo and was an avid sport’s fan. Prior to her husband’s death they enjoyed numerous trips in this country and abroad. Beulah insisted on cooking delicious holiday meals for her large extended family until her mid-80’s.
After retirement she served in the community delivering Meals on Wheels before her husband’s death and only recently as her eyesight began to fail did she give up her work at the election polls. She and her husband for many years delivered the bread used in communion services at St. John Lutheran Church in Sayre where she was a member.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Ashton Medical Care and Towanda Skilled Nursing for their care during the last ten months as well as our sister, Gail Riley, for many, many years of devoted care of our dear Mother.
