William Ayers, 77, formerly of Elmira, NY passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Bradford County Manor following a brief illness. Born on April 15, 1936, the son of the late Robert and Minnie May Lisk Ayers. Bill drove truck for a living and built computers in his early years. He enjoyed playing guitar, cards and marbles. Bill was a happy man that always had a smile on his face. He is predeceased by his wife Clara Ayers, brothers Claude, Robert, and Richard Ayers, and Companion Joann Sealey. William is survived by his son Frank Ayers of Horseheads, NY, sister and her companion Minnie Mae Fisher and David Deats, special nieces and nephews Julie Rose and Cindy Ayers, Donald and Curtis Ayers, and Scott and Brad Green, good friends Dale and Gail Stedge, and long-time companion Betty Lantz. At William’s request there will be no calling hours or services. The family wishes to thank the staff of Bradford County Manor for taking Bill under their wings when he became ill.
