Helen M. Williams, 91, of Waverly, NY passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. She was born on April 28, 1922 in Rummerfield, PA the daughter of the late Aaron N. and Martha Black Warfield. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a long time devoted member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Athens. Helen and her husband Frank owned and operated the Williams Beauty Salon in Waverly, opening the salon in 1958, and retiring at 78 in 2000. Helen touched the lives of many people. She was an avid gardener. She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years Frank W. Williams, daughter Judy D. Williams Clark, son-in-law Bruce A. Clark, and her 10 brothers and sisters. Helen is survived by her granddaughter and her husband Kimberly and Gary Short of Waverly, NY, and her special twin great-grandchildren Michael O. Short and Jesse A. Short, and a special niece and her fiancé Sandy Clark and Steve Sackett. Friends and family may call on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 1pm – 2:30pm at the Calvary Baptist Church, 703 Pine Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Church at 2:30pm with the Rev. Robert Flatt officiating. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
