Edward W. "Ed" Walsh, 82, of Bentley Creek, PA passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 in the home where he was born with his loving family at his side. He was born on September 29, 1931 in Bentley Creek, PA, the son of the late William and Helen Carroll Walsh. Ed was formerly employed with Ridgebury Twp., American LaFrance and retired from Dalrymple Construction. While employed, Ed maintained his family’s Farm and continued to do so after his retirement. Ed married the former Margaret Mary Gaitings at St. Ann’s in Bentley Creek on November 29, 1958, recently celebrating their 55th anniversary. He enjoyed hunting and cutting wood to heat his home. He was predeceased by sisters Jean Jenkins and Mary E. Drake and brother-in-law Charles Drake. Edward is survived by his wife of 55 years Margaret at home, children Theresa and John Meyers of Ft. Worth, TX and Bernard Walsh and his special friend Judy Donley, brother Robert Walsh of Springfield, PA, brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Vivian Walsh of Bentley Creek, PA and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. At Ed’s request a Private Entombment was held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery in the Family Mausoleum.
