Dorothy E. Warner, 64, of Waverly, NY passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on June 15, 1949, the daughter of the late Rev. F. Newton and Elinore Walrath Cooper. Dorothy love spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson. She was a 1967 graduate of Sayre High School and was employed for many years as an LPN. Dorothy was the recipient of the Nurse of Hope of Bradford County presented by the Bradford County American Cancer Society. She is predeceased by her brothers Floyd Cooper, Jr. and Robert Cooper. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 45 years Lee at home, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and John Vanderhoof of Waverly, NY, daughter Amy Stotler of Waverly, NY, grandchildren Ciara, Trever, Ethan, Connor, Emma, and Caden, great-grandson Rhylee, brother and his wife William and Sue Cooper of TN, sisters-in-law Gail Sweet of OH and Trudy Cooper of NC, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 6pm-7pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Memorial Service will follow at the Funeral Home at 7pm with the Rev. Randy Stilson from the Chemung Christian Fellowship officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
