George F. Stoll, 94, of Hesston, PA, formerly of Sayre, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 unexpectedly at UPMC, Altoona, PA. He was born on October 4, 1919 in Kenmore, NY the son of the late Max W. and Elizabeth B. Volk Stoll. George was a US Veterean of the Army, serving during WWII. George worked for the Railroad, retiring from ConRail. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Ruth Folk Stoll, and his two sisters, one brother, and daughter-in-law Karen Stoll. George is survived by his son Gerald Stoill of Hesston, PA, grandchildren Christopher and Wendy Stoll of Etters, PA, Michalelle and George Kaneff of Goose Creek, SC, great-grandchildren Patrick, Brandon, and Brianna Stoll, Danielle Streeter, and Ian and Riley Kaneff, and several nieces and nephews. . Friends and family may call on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 1pm-3pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 3pm with the Rev. Vincent Langan officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
