Sarah L. Shaffer, 35, of Waverly, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 27, 2014. Sarah was born on November 13, 1978 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of Leslie H. and Katherine DePumpo Shaffer. Sarah was a loving mother and daughter. She graduated from Waverly High School, class of 1995. Sarah is survived by her children Armond Cortez at home and Amaya Southworth at home, her parents Leslie H. and Katherine Shaffer of Waverly, NY, sister and brother-in-law Mona and William Dowie of Oswego, NY, brother Les and Tayna Shaffer of Waverly, NY,numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. At the request of family, private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Emory Chapel Cemetery.
