Lon D. Glover, 68, of Sayre, PA passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014. He was born on March 27, 1945 in Waverly, NY the son of the late Denzil R. and Marguerite Park Glover. Lon was a graduate of Athens High School, Class of 1963. He attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Art. Lon was a Veteran of the U.S. Army from 1965 - 1968, serving with the Green Beret during the Vietnam War. After being Honorably Discharged from the Army, he worked at a number of jobs. Lon started his employment with the Morning Times in 1972 as a Field Editor/Reporter and worked there until his retirement in 2007. At Lon's request there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are under the direction of Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
