Helen Louise Lynch, 83, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Towanda Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA following an extended illness. She was born on December 26, 1930 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Clarence and Lucille Nailen Shaffer. Helen's greatest joy was her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing poker and baking, her cookies were well known and loved by all her family and friends. She is predeceased by her ex-husband Clarence Lynch. Helen is survived by her children Mary T. Rogers of Sayre, PA, David C. Lynch and Robin Emen of Sayre, PA, James A. Lynch of Sayre, PA, .grandchildren Beth and her husband Tony, Sarah, Meredith, Arielle, Meredith, Michael, Nikki, Ryan, and Kian, great-grandchildren Leena, Hailey, and Alexus, special son-in-law Michael T. Rogers of Sayre, PA, and special daughter-in-law Angel Lynch of Sayre, PA. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11am at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
