Howard W. Ritzel, 91 of West Burlington, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness. He was born on January 27, 1920, in Baltimore. MD the son of the late William, Sr. and Katie Dical Ritzel . Howard was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed reading, gardening, and going to flea markets. He is predeceased by his wife Viola Heimel Ritzel, son Kenneth Ritzel, and brothers Charles, Fred, and Irving. Howard is survived his children James and Patricia Ritzel of Middle Village, NY, grandchildren Donna Ritzel, Cathy Larrabee, Carol Wisniewski, and Denise Rappl, great-grandchildren Stephanie, Victor, Giovanni, Vincenzo, Calogero, Brooke, and Harmon IV, sister Tibby,and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private graveside services at Bradford County Memorial Park will be held at the convenience of the family.
