Erma Keir Schultz, 90, of Sayre, PA passed away peacefully on August 11, 2011 at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 11, 1921 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Campbell M. and Ella Mae Marshall Keir. Erma was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a hard working person, most of her life she worked as a waitress at various places in the valley, and volunteered at the Robert Packer Hospital for a number of years. Erma enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, doing crossword puzzles and she loved to shop. She was a member of the Skiff-Bower Post #1536. She is predeceased by her husband John W. Schultz, 1997, son John C. Schultz, 1977, infant daughter Mary Faith, brothers Leslie and Robert, and sisters Dorothy and Ethel. Erma is survived by her children Judy (John) Page of Athens, PA, Jenny Schultz (Lynn Backus) of Cortland, NY, James (Martha) Schultz of Athens, PA, Joseph (Jane) Schultz of MD, Jeffrey (Laurie) Schultz of Port Alleghany, PA, and Jay (Kelly) Schultz of Athens, PA, 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends may call Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 2pm to 3:30pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 225 S. Main St., Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:330pm with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery.
