Obituary of Deborah Hadlock
Deborah N. "Deb/Deener" Hadlock, 55, of Barton, NY, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Robert Packer Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born June 20, 1956 in Jesup, GA the daughter of William H. and Melvine Manning Rice.
Deborah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, cutting hair, and cleaning. Deborah worked for Sandroni’s and Carmella’s Restaurants, and was a member of the Word of Faith Church in Nichols, NY.
She is predeceased by her father William H. Rice, and sister Teresa Rice.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 37 years John at home, children Ronnie Paul (Julie) Hadlock of Waverly, NY, Tonya (Donovan) Harrison of Jesup, GA, Bernadette (Tracy) VanDyke of Athens, PA, and David (Christine) Hadlock of Barton, NY, 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, mother Melvine Manning Rice, brothers Ward (Kay) Rice of Jesup, GA, and William Rice of Nichols, GA, sisters Marian (Larry) Mowen of Kingsland, GA, Lori (Ed) Perry of Barton, NY, and Brenda Rice of Temple, TX, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10am at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA with the Pastor Ronald Hadlock and Rev. Wesley Nichols co-officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
