Obituary of Gordon Robinson

Gordon Eugene "Gordy" Robinson, 76, of Athens, PA passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. Born October 11, 1934 in New Albany, PA the son of the late Harold "Bucky" and Mildred Sullivan Robinson. He was a lifelong farmer, worked for IBM then Lockheed Martin, enjoyed hunting, bowling, coached little league, loved sports. Gordon was predeceased by sisters Phyllis Tennant and Beverly Macaffee, brother Donald Robinson. He is survived by Mark (Barbie) Robinson of Litchfield, PA, Neil (Kelley) Robinson of Sayre, PA, Tim (Stephanie Rogers) Robinson of Athens, PA, Todd (Sara Kingsley) Robinson of Litchfield, PA, Scott (Lori) Robinson of Athens, PA, Jennifer (Sharon Sulimowicz) Robinson of Newark Valley, NY, Grandchildren Michelle (Andy) Watkins, Jamie Robinson, Tricia (Jon) Campbell, Hannah Robinson, Mollie Robinson, Katy Robinson, Kristia (Dan)Riggs, Kiley (Ben) Hiley, Sean Robinson, Cassie, Megan, Tyler Robinson, 7 great grandchildren, sister Tammy Parker of Athens, PA, Brother Francis (Darla) Robinson of Waverly, NY, brothers-in-law Bob Tennant of Owego, NY and Johnny Macaffee of Milan, PA, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Raised as one of his own Randy (Jona) Donovan. Family and friends may call Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 1:00 to 2:30PM at the Litchfield United Methodist Church. A Celebration of his life will follow at 2:30PM at the Church with Rev. Jon Austin officiating. Memorial donations may be made in Gordon’s name to the Guthrie Hospice, 1 Hospital Dr., Towanda, PA 18848.
